Bill Lupoletti, who lives in Providence Forge VA, hosts the world music radio program "Global A Go-Go" every Friday from 5 to 7 PM on 97.3 FM WRIR Richmond Independent Radio. Bill served on the board of directors of the Virginia Center For Public Press, WRIR's parent organization, for three years starting in 2004. In addition to his work in helping to launch WRIR, Bill participated in the creation Richmond's Channel 36/Color Radio in 1983, and he has done radio shows in Chicago and Philadelphia as well.
Alyssa Salomon recently was awarded her second VMFA Fellowship in photography and is a former 1708 Artist Board Member. Her artwork utilizes photographic and audio technologies to mine how we perceive, remember, and assign meaning. Alyssa is married to Bill Lupoletti and is host of "Can't Stop the Music" on WRIR 97.3 FM, Sundays 9 to 11 PM. "Can't Stop the Music" features overlooked, obscure and forgotten music, found sounds, and spoken word recordings to amuse its listeners through humor, silliness, satire and irony. Alyssa is actively involved in the operations of WRIR, currently serving as Interim Underwriting Manager and PSA Coordinator. She was an early dj on Richmond's Channel 36/Color Radio and on her college station WKCO in Ohio.
